Manufacturing & industrial distribution

In short

VenSoc builds the commercial and digital systems around manufacturing businesses — trade commerce platforms, product and specification data, and the integration between selling systems and back-office ERP. Published clients include cable manufacturers, tooling distributors, waste management equipment makers and renewable energy suppliers. VenSoc does not deliver shop-floor, machine-level or production control systems, and says so plainly.

Why is selling industrial products online harder than retail?

Selling industrial products online is harder because the product is a specification, not a picture. A cable is a family of variants defined by conductor, insulation, voltage rating and standard, and the buyer selects against a technical requirement rather than a preference.

That has consequences a consumer commerce build never faces: variant explosion, specification data that must stay authoritative and versioned, customer-specific and volume pricing, availability that depends on lead time rather than stock on hand, and buyers who need a quotation rather than a checkout.

VenSoc approaches this as a data-modelling problem before a storefront problem. Get the product and specification model right and the commerce layer becomes straightforward; get it wrong and every subsequent feature fights the schema.

What VenSoc has built for manufacturers and distributors

Commerce, web and product-data systems. Stated plainly: this is the commercial layer around manufacturing, not shop-floor or production control.

Millennium Cable Industries (Pakistan)
Digital presence and product catalogue for a cable manufacturer, with the specification data structured for technical buyers rather than browsers.
MCI eShop
Trade commerce platform for an electrical cable supplier, built around variant-heavy products and trade purchasing behaviour.
Kissan Engineering
Digital presence for a manufacturer of solid and liquid waste management equipment — long sales cycle, specification-led capital equipment.
Solar Max
Commerce platform for a smart renewable energy products supplier, spanning both trade and consumer purchasing.

What we typically do in this sector

  • Odoo ERP implementation & customisation

VenSoc implements and customises Odoo for mid-market manufacturers, distributors and professional services firms. Work covers current Odoo releases, Community and Enterprise — implementation, custom module development, data migration from legacy systems, third-party integration, and ongoing support.

  • SAP & ERP integration

VenSoc builds integration middleware between SAP and the systems around it — commerce platforms, warehouse systems, CRMs and custom applications. Work covers S/4HANA, SAP Business One and SAP BTP, using IDoc, OData and REST interfaces with an intermediate queue rather than direct point-to-point calls..

  • Shopify & commerce engineering

VenSoc builds Shopify Plus storefronts, headless Hydrogen implementations, and the integration layer that keeps them reconciled with ERP inventory, pricing and order data. The differentiator is doing both sides: most commerce agencies stop at the storefront, and most ERP consultancies never write production commerce code at all..

  • Data platform engineering

VenSoc builds the ingestion pipelines, warehouse models and governance layer that applied AI work depends on. Most organisations discover this gap at the point their first AI initiative needs reliable, joined, documented data — and finds it distributed across systems that disagree with each other..

Common questions

Do you do MES, SCADA or shop-floor systems?
No, and we will say so rather than learn on your plant. VenSoc has not delivered manufacturing execution, SCADA or machine-level integration work, so we do not sell it. What VenSoc does deliver is everything from the ERP outwards — order management, trade commerce, product and specification data, integration between business systems, and applied AI over the documents and processes those systems generate.
Can you connect our ERP to a trade portal or marketplace?
Yes. This is the core integration pattern VenSoc builds most often: an authoritative back-office system, one or more selling channels, and a queue-mediated synchronisation layer between them with explicit conflict resolution. It applies equally whether the ERP is Odoo, SAP Business One, or something custom that has been running for fifteen years.
