CRM

Customers, vendors and agents in one register, with contact management and a designated primary contact per party. The same record serves the quote, the job and the invoice, so nothing is re-keyed.

Freight operations

Quotations, job cards, airway bills, arrival and delivery notes. A quote becomes a job and a job becomes an invoice without re-entry — which is where most forwarding systems leak margin.

Invoicing

Multi-currency invoicing, debit and credit notes, and sales tax invoicing built to Pakistani requirements. Currency is handled at the transaction, not bolted on at reporting time.

Accounts

A real double-entry ledger, not a reporting layer. Chart of accounts, voucher management and cash flow, with one-click job completion posting the vouchers automatically.

Reporting

Gross profit and loss by job, financial and business analysis reports, and a full data download so the operator keeps their own records regardless of the hosting arrangement.

Why does freight forwarding need its own ERP?

Freight forwarding needs its own ERP because the job is the accounting unit and generic systems do not model it. A single consignment accrues costs from carriers, agents, customs and handling in several currencies, and only resolves into a margin once all of them land.

A general accounting package can record those transactions but cannot tell an operator whether job 4471 made money, because it has no concept of a job. A general ERP can model a project but not an airway bill, an arrival notice or a customs entry. So forwarders end up running an operations spreadsheet beside an accounting package, reconciling by hand, and discovering margin problems a month late.

FreightW closes that gap by making the job the spine of the system. The quote, the operational documents, the multi-currency costs and the accounting vouchers all hang off the same record — which is why completing a job can post its vouchers in one action rather than becoming a data-entry exercise.

What does ten years in production actually prove?

Ten years in production proves the parts that demonstrations cannot. Any system can look correct on the day it is shown. Very few survive a decade of currency changes, tax rule revisions, staff turnover at the client, and operators finding edge cases nobody designed for.

FreightW has been running since July 2016 with paying customers throughout. That history is the reason VenSoc talks about operating software rather than delivering it — the discipline around backups, tenancy isolation, upgrade paths and support response was not learned from a book.

It is also why the Laravel 11 rebuild is incremental rather than a rewrite. Ten years of accumulated operational behaviour is a specification that exists nowhere else, and the only safe way to carry it forward is to move one capability at a time with the old system still running.
